When will Ohio’s jobs economy fully recover? Ohio’s private sector employment peaked in March 2000 with 4.85 million jobs. Based on our projections, Ohio’s economy will fully recover some time between September 2018 and October 2024, with the most likely recovery date of February 2022. Even in spite of the Great Recession, Ohioans deserve better. With these projections, Ohio is facing two decades of net zero job growth.
